Fallon Exits 'Saturday Night Live' Now who's going to laugh at Horatio Sanz's jokes? "Saturday Night Live" regular Jimmy Fallon announced towards the end of last week's season finale (May 15) that his long run on the show is coming to an end. Viewers got their first hint when, as part of a running gag, Fallon's "Weekend Update" co-anchor Tina Fey slugged him and declared that might be the last time she'd ever get to do that. He went on to make things slightly more official in a brief statement to the audience. The Brooklyn-born Fallon has been on "SNL" for six seasons, taking the "Weekend Update" chair in 2000. Fallon's familiar characters include Boston's own Sully, stoner webcam host Jarrett and nasally "Access Hollywood" personality Pat O'Brien. Viewers will also remember Fallon for his difficulties keeping a straight face, particularly when sharing scenes with Sanz."We've been aware for some time that Jimmy was going to be leaving the show after this season," says NBC Universal Television President Jeff Zucker. "We have not been in negotiations, nor are we going to be in negotiations because he had made it clear that he was ready to move on and we wish him all the best."In addition to his work on "SNL," Fallow hosted the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards and 2001 MTV Movie Awards. His film credits include "Almost Famous" and Woody Allen's "Anything Else."
